Having just played yesterday, the Exeter Tigers will jump right back in to play the Southern Missouri RUSH * at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Exeter is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
Exeter suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by School of the Ozarks 53-24. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Exeter has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Southern Missouri RUSH put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 54-29 margin over Steelville. Given Southern Missouri RUSH's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while Steelville is ranked 365th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Exeter bumped their record down to 2-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.0 points per game. As for Southern Missouri RUSH, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.
