The Scotia-Glenville Tartans lost against the Amsterdam Rams back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Scotia-Glenville took a 62-48 bruising from Amsterdam. While losing is never fun, Scotia-Glenville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 451st, while Amsterdam is ranked 95th).
Amsterdam's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aundray Fowler, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jude Flint, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Scotia-Glenville's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-5. As for Amsterdam, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Scotia-Glenville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Schalmont at 1:30 p.m. on December 23rd. Amsterdam and Utica Academy of Science will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Utica Academy of Science is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
