After flying high against Yeshiva of Virginia on Tuesday, the Grove Christian School Falcons came back down to earth. Grove Christian School fell 69-56 to Guardian Christian Academy on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Guardian Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tierre Brown, who scored 23 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least 25% of Guardian Christian Academy's points. Carl Walls was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Grove Christian School now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Guardian Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grove Christian School will challenge Williamsburg Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Williamsburg Christian Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Guardian Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Millwood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
