The Viewmont Vikings won the last time they faced the Roy Royals, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Viewmont came out on top against Roy by a score of 58-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Viewmont.
Aubrey Mulitalo continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mara Mickelson, who scored eight points.
Roy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jerzee Hart, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds, and Ellen Speredon who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Hart scored 15 or more points.
Even though they lost, Roy were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Viewmont has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Roy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Viewmont will take on Bountiful at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Bountiful will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Roy, they will play host again and welcome Northridge, where tip off is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
