Softball Recap: U-32 Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

U-32 barely beat Spaulding the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raiders put the hurt on the Crimson Tide with a sharp 17-5 win on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Megan Pittsley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Pittsley was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elena Noyes, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs. Zofia Willis was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

U-32 always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .513 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

U-32's record is now 8-3. As for Spaulding, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. U-32 will take on Lamoille at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spaulding, they will challenge Lake Region at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Crimson Tide will need to watch out since the Rangers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
