Dutch Fork has gone a perfect 4-0 against Brookland-Cayce recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Silver Foxes will head out to face off against the Bearcats at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dutch Fork has four straight wins, Brookland-Cayce has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Dutch Fork's tournament run continued when they took on Horse Creek Academy on Tuesday. The Silver Foxes blew past the Stallions 7-1. The Silver Foxes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

C Morden made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Offing, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Raleigh Salters was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Dutch Fork always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Horse Creek Academy only posted an OBP of .292.

Meanwhile, Brookland-Cayce came up short against Chapin on Monday and fell 7-2.

Rylan Bullis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Brookland-Cayce's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 5-10 when he doesn't).

Dutch Fork's record now sits at 14-5. As for Brookland-Cayce, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Everything went Dutch Fork's way against Brookland-Cayce in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Dutch Fork made off with a 10-2 victory. Do the Silver Foxes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bearcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
