Meanwhile, Lloyd pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, English went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Lloyd went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.
Colorado lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2025.
Colorado's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Sonora, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Sonora has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .438. However, it's not like Colorado struggles in that department as they've averaged .442. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
