The Hiram Hornets will head out to  take on the Cartersville Hurricanes  at 5:30  p.m. Cartersville took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hiram, who comes in off a win.
 Hiram will bounce into Tuesday's   match after  beating Woodland, who they hadn't topped in nine consecutive meetings. Hiram walked away with  a   10-7  victory over Woodland  on Monday. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
  Sophie Epperson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned  (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Isabella Lonergan was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with a  home run, three  RBI, and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Arizona Jones, who  went 4-for-5 with  an  RBI.
 Hiram was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .410. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in October of 2023.
 Meanwhile, Cartersville didn't have quite enough to beat Allatoona on Monday and fell  5-4.
 Hiram's victory  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-12. As for Cartersville, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.
 Hiram might still be hurting after the  19-5 defeat they got from Cartersville  in their previous meeting  back in August. Can Hiram avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
