The Gulf Breeze Dolphins will take on the Niceville Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gulf Breeze will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Gulf Breeze is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Milton. The game was the first time the Dolphins have beaten the Panthers on their field since February 20, 2025.

Jessica Jagar spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 21 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Gulf Breeze's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Addison Kirk, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave Kirk a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Niceville made easy work of Mosley on Tuesday and carried off a 12-1 win. Considering the Eagles have won 12 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Quinn Graham, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Carnley Summerlin, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Niceville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Gulf Breeze, their record is now 15-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Gulf Breeze has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Niceville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Gulf Breeze came out on top in a nail-biter against Niceville when the teams last played back in February, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Dolphins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
