The Bryan Station Defenders will head out on the road to face off against the Henry Clay Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bryan Station's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Even though Scott County scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Bryan Station still came out on top. Bryan Station took their game against Scott County 64-55. Given Bryan Station's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Scott County is ranked 156th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Henry Clay's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They fell 69-60 to Great Crossing. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (58), Henry Clay still had to take the loss.
Bryan Station has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. As for Henry Clay, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-5.
Bryan Station took their victory against Henry Clay in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 77-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bryan Station since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
