The Arp Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 56-18 defeat at the hands of Jefferson. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Arp in their matchups with Jefferson: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the defeat, Arp had strong showings from Addison Carpenter, who scored seven points, and Maddie Birdsong, who scored six points.
Arp has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-24 record this season. As for Jefferson, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-8.
Arp will head out on the road to challenge Tatum at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Tatum is coming into the contest with eight straight wins at home, so Arp is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
