The Northwestern Regional Highlanders will head out on the road to square off against the Suffield Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Northwestern Regional can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 52-18 victory over Litchfield at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Northwestern Regional has posted against Litchfield since December 19, 2019.
Meanwhile, Suffield had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against East Windsor by a score of 47-37.
Northwestern Regional's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Suffield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Northwestern Regional was taken down by Suffield 59-23 in their previous meeting back in March of 2015. Can Northwestern Regional avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
