Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rhodes). They blew past the Max S. Hayes Lakers 63-21 on Tuesday. Rhodes' win was all the more impressive since the Lakers were averaging only 28.8 points allowed on the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rhodes to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniya King, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Carolyna Rodriguez, who had 12 points.

Rhodes pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Max S. Hayes, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rhodes will welcome Garrett Morgan at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rhodes' defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Garrett Morgan's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Max S. Hayes, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on John F. Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
