Basketball Recap: Dadrian Aleman Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Everglades Prep Academy

BridgePrep Village Green lost to Everglades Prep Academy back in January of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The BridgePrep Village Green Bulldogs came out on top against the Everglades Prep Academy Panther by a score of 65-52. With that victory, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.

BridgePrep Village Green's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dadrian Aleman, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Aleman is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Pedro Ferreira was another key player, going 6 for 13 on his way to 15 points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

BridgePrep Village Green's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Everglades Prep Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. BridgePrep Village Green will square off against Palm Glades Prep Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. BridgePrep Village Green is facing Palm Glades Prep Academy at the right time seeing as Palm Glades Prep Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Everglades Prep Academy, they will challenge Academy for Innovative Education at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
