The Newcastle Dogies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell 44-31 to Rawlins. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Newcastle in their matchups with the Outlaws: they've now lost four in a row.
Rawlins' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaxson Allard, who scored 14 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Jose Morales was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Newcastle has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Rawlins, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newcastle will face off against the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rawlins, they and the Eagles will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
