Tuloso-Midway hasn't had much luck against Alice recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors & Cherokees will look to defend their home field against the Coyotes at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Friday, Tuloso-Midway ended up a good deal behind Carroll and lost 28-14. The game marked the Warriors & Cherokees' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
09/26/25 vs Carroll | 187 |
09/19/25 @ Hebbronville | 153 |
09/12/25 vs London | 284 |
09/04/25 vs Ray | 280 |
08/28/25 @ Corpus Christi Moody | 110 |
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Damian Figueroa, who rushed for 187 yards and one touchdown. Figueroa is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 110 every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Jace Arriaga, who rushed for 73 yards on only seven carries.
Meanwhile, Alice played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 45-13 loss at the hands of Gregory-Portland. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 553rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 217th).
Although Alice took the loss, they still got scores from Sebastian Flores and Landon Guerra.
Having lost for the first time this season, Tuloso-Midway fell to 4-1. As for Alice, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Tuloso-Midway has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 439.2 total yards per game. It's a different story for Alice, though, as they've been averaging only 213 total yards. Will Tuloso-Midway be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Coyotes flip the script?
Tuloso-Midway and Alice were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but Tuloso-Midway came up empty-handed after a 28-27 loss. Can the Warriors & Cherokees avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
