On Thursday, Lake View strolled past Elmwood Park with points to spare, taking the game 61-43.
It was another big night for Ayden Reed, who scored 16 points along with five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Lake View's points. Another player making a difference was Frank Fregoso, who scored seven points along with 11 steals.
Elmwood Park's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Manuel, who scored 11 points. Manuel continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Boatman, who scored nine points.
Lake View's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Elmwood Park, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
