Josh Colaizzi made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Colaizzi was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Austin Daubenmire was excellent, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Alex Bihun, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI.
Meanwhile, Willowbrook might've scored the first runs on Tuesday, but it was Glenbard East who claimed the real prize. Willowbrook fell just short of Glenbard East by a score of 6-5. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 4-0 in the first period.
Willowbrook also got a good showing from Noah Edison, who struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Edison has allowed since back in May of 2024.
On the hitting side, Vinny Ippolito was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI.
