Xavier Howard continued his hot streak on Wednesday by dropping his third-straight game with at least one stolen base. He scored a run and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. Mt. Zion is 2-1 when Howard posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-5 otherwise.

Howard's strong effort led Mt. Zion over Douglass and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are a perfect 3-0 against the Astros going back to February of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
