The Oswego Panthers will take on the Plainfield Central Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Oswego sitting on 20 straight victories dating back to last season and Plainfield Central on three.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Oswego and Naperville North, and Oswego kept the tradition alive. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Huskies on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Aubriella Garza made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

Plainfield Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Oswego has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.3 hits per game.
