The Normal West Wildcats pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 64-55 to Mahomet-Seymour. Normal West was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mahomet-Seymour apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Normal West lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Undrell Alexander, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Zaleski, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Normal West's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-7. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.
Normal West and Lanphier will round out the year against one another at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at. Lanphier knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Normal West likes a good challenge. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they will face off against Romeoville at 8:00 p.m. on December 27th. Romeoville will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
