Cameryn Woodall made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tiara Jones, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Jaliyah Hernandez was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Morenci was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 10-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
