The Gloucester Catholic Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Wildwood 56-51. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Gloucester Catholic of the 65-58 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture last Friday.
Wildwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Troiano, who scored 12 points along with nine assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Troiano has scored all season. Junior Hans was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Gloucester Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Wildwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gloucester Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Salem at 4:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for Wildwood, they will head out on the road to square off against Pleasantville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
