The Temple Christian Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Lubbock Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
After a string of three wins, Temple Christian's good fortune finally ran out two weeks ago. They fell just short of Sacred Heart by a score of 17-14.
Although Temple Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Jj Limones and Maddox Caffey.
Meanwhile, Lubbock Christian was the victim of a tough 47-22 loss at the hands of First Baptist on Friday. While losing is never fun, Lubbock Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 611th, while First Baptist is ranked 296th).
Temple Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lubbock Christian, their loss ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2.
Temple Christian took a serious blow against Lubbock Christian in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 44-6. Can Temple Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
