The Seminole Ridge Hawks's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Boca Raton Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Seminole Ridge came up short against Glades Central and fell 52-39. Seminole Ridge has struggled against Glades Central recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Calvin Warren put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Elliot Petit-Frere was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Boca Raton pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of West Boca Raton by a score of 61-58. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Wednesday (57), Boca Raton still had to take the loss.
Seminole Ridge's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-13. As for Boca Raton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.
Seminole Ridge might still be hurting after the 70-49 loss they got from Boca Raton in their previous matchup back in January of 2021. Can Seminole Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
