While not quite a landslide, the contest between Caldwell and Argonia/Attica on Friday was still a pretty decisive one as Caldwell wrapped it up with a 32-12 victory. Caldwell have a history of success against Argonia/Attica, winning their last head-to-head 38-20.
Caldwell's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 26 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Argonia/Attica couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 26-0 heading into the break. Although Caldwell wound up losing the second-half battle, they still had enough in reserve to win the war. The win bumped their record up to 4-0. The defeat dropped Argonia/Attica's record to 3-1.
Caldwell will stay at home next week against Oxford at 7:00 PM. Caldwell are cruising in on a four-game winning streak while Oxford are stumbling in off of four consecutive losses. Argonia/Attica will look to defend their home turf against Udall at 7:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
