Jackson can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Banneker with a sharp 63-43 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Jackson has posted against Banneker since January 28, 2019.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jackson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shakira Gresham, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Gresham has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kennedie Cooper, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Chapel Hill's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Villa Rica.
Jackson pushed their record up to 17-1 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home. As for Chapel Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
Everything came up roses for Jackson against Chapel Hill when the teams last played on January 2nd as the team secured a 84-23 victory. With Jackson ahead 49-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
