The Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-28 win over Trinity. Given Elkhart Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Trinity is ranked 420th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Aiden Hibbard, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five assists. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maliki Redmond, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
Trinity lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jacob Palmer, who scored six points along with four steals. Josh Heintzelman was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Elkhart Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Trinity, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-10.
