Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carolina Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Palmetto Mustangs 63-35. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carrigan Holbert, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Skyler Ellison, who had nine points.
The victory made it two in a row for Carolina Academy and bumps their season record up to 7-15. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points over those games. As for Palmetto, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.
Carolina Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palmetto, they will welcome St. Joseph's Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
