The Rockwall-Heath Hawks entered their tilt with the Horn Jaguars with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Rockwall-Heath walked away with a 16-3 win over Horn on Friday. Given Rockwall-Heath's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Horn is ranked 159th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed nine in total. All those points came courtesy of Bronson Mueller: he added nine points with three field goals.
Despite the loss, Horn saw an underclassman step up: Levon Morton gained 139 total yards.
Rockwall-Heath's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Horn, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Coincidentally, Rockwall-Heath and Horn will both be playing Royse City the next time they take the field. Rockwall-Heath will host Royse City at TBD on October 28th, while Horn will head out to face them at TBD on November 3rd.
