It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Albany Lions had no problem doing just that on Friday. They snuck past the Hornets with a 19-14 victory. The win was just business as usual for Albany, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.
Albany got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Adam Hill out in front who rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown. Hill hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cason Fairchild, who picked up 44 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Albany's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Muenster, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Albany is on the road again on Thursday and play against Collinsville at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. Collinsville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matches -- so hopefully Albany likes a good challenge. Muenster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
