Thomas More Prep-Marian waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Garden City Buffaloes 19-8. The result was nothing new for the Monarchs, who have now won 20 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Grant Nehls was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Thomas More Prep-Marian got a massive performance out of Ty Schmeidler, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI Schmeidler has posted since back in April. Carson Liles was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Thomas More Prep-Marian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garden City only posted an OBP of .385.

Thomas More Prep-Marian's win bumped their record up to 24-2. As for Garden City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.
