Annenberg has gone a perfect 8-0 against USC-MAE recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will face off against the Trojans at 3:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
On Monday, Annenberg came up short against Orthopaedic and fell 3-1. The Panthers have struggled against the Vipers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
While Annenberg ultimately came up short, they really made Orthopaedic work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-19, 18-25, 28-26.
Meanwhile, USC-MAE also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Central City Value by a score of 3-1.
USC-MAE couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Central City Value a tough time in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 28-30, 25-19, 25-14.
Annenberg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for USC-MAE, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
Everything went Annenberg's way against USC-MAE in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Annenberg made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
