Naperville Central lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Plainfield East, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's game. The Redhawks were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Bengals on Saturday. For the Redhawks, this counts as revenge for the 5-3 win the Bengals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Naperville Central is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Plainfield East, they dropped their record down to 4-12-1 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
