The Canton Warriors were the 48-29 winner over the Cowanesque Valley Indians when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Canton lost to Cowanesque Valley on the road by a decisive 46-32 margin on Friday. Canton's loss continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Ben Fitch and Brayden Vroman certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Fitch dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Vroman scored eight points along with ten rebounds. The game was Fitch's tenth in a row with at least ten points.
Canton bumped their record down to 4-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Cowanesque Valley, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Canton will be playing in front of their home fans against Edison at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Edison is ranked 590th in New York, while Canton is ranked 574th in Pennsylvania). As for Cowanesque Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Northeast Bradford at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
