The Heritage Coyotes's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Lebanon Trail as Heritage made off with a 57-32 victory. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Heritage considering their 17-point performance the contest before.
Leading Heritage to victory were Elyse Mercado and Jadyn Middleton. Mercado scored 11 points along with four steals, while Middleton scored 16 points along with five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Middleton has scored at least 25% of Heritage's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emilia Okojie, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Heritage's win bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Lebanon Trail, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will play host again and welcome Walnut Grove, where tip off is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Lebanon Trail, they will be playing at home against Centennial at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Centennial is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
