There's no place like home for the Faith West Academy Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-28 win over Brazosport Christian on Thursday.
Loss or not, Brazosport Christian got some senior leadership from Julianna Crews who scored 7 points along with 13 rebounds and Hannah Kimbrough who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Faith West Academy has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 6-2 record. Despite that those good results, the team's offense hasn't been rolling: across that stretch, they only averaged 26.0 points per game. As for Brazosport Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith West Academy will take on Faith Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brazosport Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Bay Area Christian at 10:00 a.m. Bay Area Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brazosport Christian in Texas (Bay Area Christian is ranked 88th, while Brazosport Christian is ranked 818th).
