The Classical Academy Caimans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 55-37 bruising from Coastal Academy. If Classical Academy hoped to take revenge for the 37-31 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Several Caimans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Issac Davis, who scored 14 points. That was a full 37.8% of Classical Academy's points, marking the 11th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Yasin Amini was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Classical Academy's loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-16. As for Coastal Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Classical Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Fallbrook at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Coastal Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Guajome Park Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
