The Boone Braves will head out to challenge the Seminole Seminoles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Boone is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Boone and University, and Boone kept the tradition alive. The Braves were the clear victors by a 23-0 margin over the Cougars on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.
Samantha Johnson looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Aracelys Gonzalez was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with six stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those six stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emelia Martin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Boone always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Seminole posted their closest victory since May 9, 2024 on Friday. They skirted past Lake Mary 2-1.
Ava Matthews spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits.
On the hitting side, Maggie Long was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Boone's record is now 12-8. As for Seminole, their record now sits at 7-13.
Seminole's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Boone has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. It's a different story for Seminole, though, as they've only averaged .349. Will they be able to contain Boone's hitters?
Boone came up short against Seminole when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 5-0. Can the Braves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
