Hayezon Jackson Delivers Best Effort of Season
Hayezon Jackson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Clayton Valley Charter to the win on Friday. Jackson rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (110.7) per game. His longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards.
The win (which was Clayton Valley Charter's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Jackson will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Acalanes on Friday.

Josh Elerts Turns in Season-Best Performance
Josh Elerts produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Acalanes to the win on Friday. Elerts rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack, forced a fumble, and made a tackle.
Acalanes pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Elerts and Acalanes are taking a road trip to challenge Clayton Valley Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Roman Mercado Dazzles in Las Lomas Defeat
While Roman Mercado delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Las Lomas. Mercado turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 192 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
If the past is any indication, Mercado could be in store for another big game when he takes on Campolindo on Friday. Mercado picked up 204 receiving yards and three touchdowns the last time he and the Cougars duked it out back in October of 2023.

Blair Came Up Big in Miramonte's 35-28 Loss
Miramonte had to settle for second on Friday, but Carson Blair sure wasn't going down easily. Blair turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 348 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 36 yards and two touchdowns.
Miramonte's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. Blair and Miramonte will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Las Lomas at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Dylan Thomas Makes It Two for Las Lomas
The second Las Lomas player making an appearance here is Dylan Thomas, and for good reason. He threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns.
Thomas and Las Lomas will face off against Campolindo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Cougars, probably because Thomas had a solid game then too: he threw for 347 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
