Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Williams Made His Presence Known in Deer Lakes' 56-0 Win
Starting off the list is Deer Lakes's Zier Williams, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Williams rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also caught a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Unfortunately for Burrell, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Williams. When Williams last faced the Bucs back in September of 2023, he rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.

Zach Grant Delivers Best Effort of Season

He has become a key player for Deer Lakes: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

While Freeport might've come up empty on Friday, Drew Ross wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Ross as he threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns.
Ross' next match is against Mt. Pleasant on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort. The Yellowjackets had to take a loss when they last met the Vikings, but Ross had little to do with the loss: he threw for 161 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
