Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Combine Academy National). They took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 107-62 win over the Lincoln Charter Eagles. Given the Goats' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Eagles are ranked 111th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lincoln Charter's loss came despite strong showings from David Reed IV and Mckennon Showers. Reed IV dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 boards, while Showers went 6 for 12 en route to 21 points and seven assists. The dominant performance gave Reed IV a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sylas Coleman, who posted nine points.

Combine Academy National pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.6 points per game. As for Lincoln Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
