Baseball Recap: Dover-Eyota Comes Up Short

Dover-Eyota lost against Prescott back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 8-7.

Joel Skrukrud made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Haag, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-4.

Dover-Eyota now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Prescott, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Dover-Eyota didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-1 victory against Lake City on the 12th. Prescott has also already played their next contest (against Cotter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
