Sand Creek hasn't had much luck against Falcon recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m.
On Tuesday, Sand Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Elizabeth and fell 3-2. While the Scorpions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cardinals 25-20 in the first set.
Sand Creek took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-15, 23-25, 25-9, 15-7.
Meanwhile, Falcon made easy work of Mitchell on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Falcon was: they took every set by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-8, 25-8.
Sand Creek better keep an eye on Eva Hamilton. She was instrumental in Falcon's win, getting six digs and six aces. That's the most aces Hamilton has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Danika Steel, who had 12 digs and three assists.
Falcon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive contests.
Sand Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Falcon, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.
