The North Canyon Rattlers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 40-6 loss at the hands of West Point. North Canyon was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-6.
Leading West Point to victory were Isaiah Smith and Anthony Lopes. Smith rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown, while Lopes rushed for 31 yards and two touchdowns.
West Point's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 12 times. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.
North Canyon's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
