Ogallala is 8-2 against Gothenburg since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Ogallala Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Gothenburg Swedes at 6:00 p.m. Ogallala knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 22 contests -- so hopefully Gothenburg likes a good challenge.
Last Saturday, Ogallala faced Crete in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Ogallala fell 69-58 to Crete. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Gothenburg beat Ainsworth 64-52 on Friday.
Ogallala's loss dropped their record down to 20-2. As for Gothenburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Everything went Ogallala's way against Gothenburg in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as Ogallala made off with a 67-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ogallala since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
