Richfield is 1-9 against Juab since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wildcats will face off against the Wasps at 4:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Richfield comes in on three and Juab on nine.
Richfield is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over Union.

Richfield got a big performance out of Jess Curtis, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI. Curtis is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 9-17 when he doesn't). Malik Fautin was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Juab made easy work of Grantsville on Monday and carried off a 10-3 victory. The Wasps might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Austin Park made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Connor Cowan, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Trevin Park, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Juab hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grantsville struck out ten times.
Juab's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Richfield, their record now sits at 12-17.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Richfield hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Juab struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Richfield might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Juab in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
