Victorino Jr. Came Up Big in Laguna Acoma's 30-14 Win
Starting off the list is Laguna Acoma's Derek Victorino Jr., who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Victorino Jr. rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 56 yards.
Victorino Jr. must have Newcomb's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Victorino Jr. rushed for 90 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 124 yards and a touchdown on only 11 passes the last time he and the Skyhawks duked it out back in August of 2023.

Newcomb was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Kinjii Natonabah did his best to prevent it. Laguna Acoma had no answer to Natonabah as he rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Natonabah also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making seven total tackles.
Newcomb is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4. Natonabah and Newcomb will stay at home for another week and welcome Cuba at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
