The Enterprise Bulldogs won against the Richton Rebels on Monday with 43 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. It was close, but Enterprise ultimately received the gift of a 43-40 victory from a begrudging Bulldogssquad. The win was familiar territory for they who now have three in a row.
Enterprise can attribute much of their success to Makayla Sullivan, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Heathcock, who scored five points along with ten rebounds and four blocks.
Enterprise's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Richton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
Enterprise will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southeast Lauderdale at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Southeast Lauderdale is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Richton will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Hattiesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hattiesburg knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Richton likes a good challenge.
