They really took it to Wakefield Country Day for the full four quarters, racking up a 44-14 win on the road. That 30 points margin sets a new team best for Massanutten Military Academy this season.
Wakefield Country Day lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Maddy Addeo, who scored no points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Even though they lost, Wakefield Country Day smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Massanutten Military Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Wakefield Country Day, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Massanutten Military Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Valley Thunder Homeschool at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wakefield Country Day, they will head out on the road to take on Chelsea Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chelsea Academy's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Wakefield Country Day's offense will have their work cut out for them.
